The Worst Dressed Celebrities At The Headies 2016

The Worst Dressed Celebrities At The Headies 2016
The Headies 2016 was held on Thursday night, giving us ample opportunity to check out the fashion choices of some of your favorite celebrities.

Now we focus on the ugly!!

Denrele

Denrele is the class
captain of the worst dressed celebs and takes the cake for this absolutely horrific get-up. He looks like a frightened, gay and poorly paid butler. It is a fashion miss more shocking than Yakubu Aiyegbeni’s miss for Nigeria at the world

Dj Cuppy

Cuppy might have a show where she takes Africa but the only thing her Headies outfit took was sheer frumpiness. I am not understanding the choice of what looks like a maternal gown to what was supposed to be a glam occasion.

Eniola Badmus!

Eniola Badmus….sigh

Chidinma

I have the hugest crush on Chidinma and in my eyes, she can do no wrong but her ‘lady in red’ outfit was uninspiring. It sort of just seemed to hang there

O.C Ukeje

I can’t be the only one who thinks O.C Ukeje suspiciously looks like Topcat in this get up.

Adunmi Ade

I am honestly not understanding!!

Mo Eazy

I give up on this one!!!!

Wizkid Has Been Nominated For A Grammy Award

Wizkid Has Been Nominated For A Grammy Award
Talented Nigerian music export and Star Boy Music Worldwide act, Wizkid, has been tagged in the prestigious Grammy Awards nominees list for his role in Drake’s hit single “One Dance”.

The track, which also features Kyla, is off Drake’s award winning album “Views” which stood out as one of the best albums released in 2016.

Drake’s album, in which Wizkid appeared, made the highly coveted “Album of the year” category, competing against other award winning artistes like Adele, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber.

Wizkid has had a tremendous year with top notch awards credited to him.

Worthy of mentions are his Bill Board appearance as the first Nigerian to emerge on that list, MTV Europe Music Awards (Best African Act), 2016 MAMA awards (Best African Act), 2016 MOBO Awards, AFRIMA awards, the Headies (Nomination), and just recently, his appearance on the Grammy Awards among others.

Wizkid’s international prominence started when his Ojuelegba hit single had American rapper Drake and English rapper with Nigerian descent, Skepta, on the remix.

Prior to this time, the award was only given to the main artiste but this year’s edition of the Grammy Awards would see contributing acts and producers going home with awards as well.

The 59th edition of the Grammy’s has 84 categories and Wizkid is the only Nigerian on the list.

Unbelievable!!! Naira Falls To N485/$1, N600/£1

Unbelievable!!! Naira Falls To N485/$1, N600/£1
The Naira took a fall again on Tuesday, December 6, as it dropped to N485 from N484 against the dollar and N600 from N590 against the British pound at the parallel market.

However, the local currency maintained the N510 per Euro as it was yesterday, December 5.

Dollar to Naira
Some have attributed the fall of the naira to the recent crackdown in the parallel market against currency traders.

However, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, in an interview with Reuters, said “his office was working with the central bank to make the foreign exchange market more flexible and more reflective of actual demand and supply”.

At the official side of the market, the naira depreciated from 305 to 315 per dollar, while the pound went for N401.

Chris Kwekowe Rejects Bill Gates Job Offer

Chris Kwekowe Rejects Bill Gates Job Offer
Chris Kwekowe, a young Nigerian entrepreneur reportedly turn down a job offer be a software engineer at Microsoft, owned by the richest man in the world, Bill Gates to begin his own start-up in Lagos.

The twenty-three years old Lagos university graduate proudly revealed this to Bill Gates during a television interview for Africa’s brightest young entrepreneurs in August 2016, according to Vanguard.

He said he did so, to build up his own website called Slatecube– a website aimed at curbing Nigeria`s unemployment problem.

“When I told him, Gates was intrigued and he smiled. After the programme, all the directors were like, ‘Dude, you mean you actually turned down a job at Microsoft and had the guts to tell Bill Gates?’”

According to reports, a survey of 90,000 young Nigerians which was done in January 2016 discovered that 45% of college graduates didn’t have jobs with key reason on lack of professional skills such as: critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and decision-making.

He noted that Slatecube seeks to solve that problem by nurturing the graduates through digital internships and so far, Slatecube has an 80% employment rate for its users. Companies that have used the platform, have saved over $100,000 in 2015 by hiring skilled, ready to work employees.

Chris who recently won the 2015 Anzisha Prize which came with a $25,000 cheque, is currently seeking investors and potential employers to use Slatecube in America and expected offices in Kenya, Ghana, and South Africa in 2017.

MMM Participants In Fear As Ultimate Cycler Crashes

MMM Participants In Fear As Ultimate Cycler Crashes
One of the ponzi schemes in Nigeria, Ultimate Cycler has crashed, sending panic waves across many of its Nigerian members who have invested their money in it as well as those who have equally invested in others such as MMM.

The ponzi website, Ultimate Cycler went down early Thursday morning, specifically around 10:30am(Nigerian time), shutting out every member who owns an account with it.

When accessed, the site initially displayed an error line of code, before displaying ”Error 500” in bold letters, then it proceeded to display another message: “ Be right back. We are currently updating the site to give you a more pleasurable experience and will be back online shortly. Our update estimation is to be complete over the next 6 – 12 hours. Thank you, Peter Wolfing.”

Ultimate Cycler is a new ponzi scheme that followed MMM . This new money doubling scheme claims a promise of better returns on invested money than MMM.

The hook for Ultimate Cycler is members get a return of N50,000 after paying N12,500 to a fellow member he or she registered under.
As at the time of filing this report, the ponzi website has still not come to life.

Dangers for members who have invested in it or others like MMM is that when such websites go down, chances are that it never comes up again and hence, “investors'” money goes with it.

10 Places In Lagos That Are Dominated By Runs Girls

10 Places In Lagos That Are Dominated By Runs Girls
Some places in Lagos are known to be highly dominated by promiscuous and runs girls, and below are these places.

1. Lekki

Those who are very familiar with this environment will agree with me that it's surreptitiously infiltrated by high class runs girls and can be spotted at exotic places such as Quinox, Pennisuela and Oba Elegushi. Most times, they dress half unclad to buy ordinary "Always Ultra" at shoprite and you will begin to wonder if shoprite has become a strip club.

2. Ikeja

Places like Allen Avenue, Oba Akran, Toyin street, and the likes have reportedly been named the headquarters. Many a times, in the evening, you see them dressed like masquerades on heavy make up, short gowns with sky scraper heels and will be hovering from one street to another just to attract the best of interested chairmen that are willing to transact business.

3. Ikoyi

Ikoyi is one of the most affluent neighborhood of Lagos where you will also find well tushed-up runs girls. The cost of a night stand with these runs girls can buy an acre of land at Ibafo. They're found in exotic hotels in Ikoyi such as Precinct Comfort, Limeridge Hotels, Aries Suites, Upper Class Suites, etc.

4. V. I

Victoria Island is unarguably a land of fortune as it has rich historical heritage. Most of the runs girls you meet on social media are likely to tell you they reside in V. I. The prominence of the town does not only stem from the fact that each time we see ladies who reside in V. I, we are quick to label them rich men's daughters, when in fact, some of them are chronic runs girls under the guise of rich men's daughters

5. Festac

Research and statistics have shown that most of the residents in Festac are people that hail from the Southeastern part of Nigeria. It's also very evident that the larger percent of ladies who dominate this area are into runs and many other vices.
If you are looking for a place in Lagos where every street has at least two hotels, then Festac is one place you should be looking at

6. Mushin

This environment is not really dominated by runs girls per se, but dominated by thugs and local girls. In fact, finding a virgin girl in this area is likened to Atiku's chances of winning 2019 presidential election.. Those who live in this vicinity can attest to the fact that ladies who are born and breed in this polluted environment are prone to early sex and pregnancy as quickle happens almost everywhere

7. Ojuelegba

Ojuelegba is a suburb in Surulere local government area of Lagos State, known for its crowded environment and regarded as one of the places that has the highest numbers of local runs girls.

8. Surulere

Surulere is also one of the most notorious places you can ever raise a female child. However, raising a female child in this area is not encouraging as she might end up as a wayward child. I don't think any runs girl can compete with Surulere runs girls when it comes to tweaking

9. Agege

Agege has one of the largest numbers of female thugs in Lagos. It's very risky to date most of the girls in this vicinity because it will be very disastrous when you spot your girlfriend at Pen Cinema with her goons waiting for men that will take them out

10. Ajegunle

Ajegunle shares certain similarities with Surulere where the residents rank among the most popular ghettos in Lagos where poor and lunatics abound. Most of the runs girls in this area are usually looking malnourished as they're being patronized by broke guys.

I drop my pen at this juncture

Feel free to add yours

Buhari To Nigerian Elites: "Stop Making Expensive Demands

Buhari To Nigerian Elites: "Stop Making Expensive Demands
President Muhammadu Buhari has called on the Nigerian elite to stop making expensive demands by insisting that things should be done the old way.

According to a statement issued by Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, on Tuesday, Buhari said this while speaking at a meeting with a group of Nigerians in the Diaspora, on the margins of the third Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa in Senegal.

The president said his administration was on the right track to improve the image of the country by entrenching accountability and probity in governance.

He told the 11-man Nigerian delegation of association leaders resident in Senegal and Cote D’ Ivoire, that the last 16 years of poor handling of the nation’s resources and infrastructure had continued to impact negatively on the country.

“This administration is pleased we won the election, we are pleased Nigerians are cooperating with us. But the problems are so enormous that we need the cooperation of Nigerians, particularly the elite,” he said.

“They (elite) should reflect on the condition of the country, and stop making expensive demands because things cannot be done the old way.”

On the welfare of Nigerians in the Diaspora, Buhari assured them that the federal government would continue to promote good neighbourliness and improve the negative perception about Nigerians abroad.

“Nigerians are known for their competitiveness and I am very passionate about Nigeria. I will continue to preach good neighbourliness and work hard to improve the numerous human and material resources in the country,” he said.

In his remarks, Adebayo Yahaya, president of the Nigerian community, Cote D’ Ivoire, commended the president for his bold and unflinching fight against corruption, saying: “Nigerians are praying for your success. Don’t relent, do not lose hope; the almighty God is behind you.”

Last week, President Olusegun Obasanjo had called on Buhari to stop giving excuses and get to work; after which Muhammadu Sanusi II, emir of Kano, flayed the government for its planned borrowing of $30bn from external sources.

Pastor And Wife Killed By Robbers On Their Way From Convention

Pastor And Wife Killed By Robbers On Their Way From Convention
Suspected robbers have killed the pastor and his wife while they were on their way back to Taraba State after the NKST Church World-wide Choir conference held at Jaki, Kwande LGA of Benue State on Friday, Idoma Voice reports.
An Eyewitness has this to say: "I stopped at Gawa at about 8:14 this morning to buy some foodstuffs on my way to Bali to buy yams when some youngmen walked to men saying its better to getthe yams in the evening when the market is closing. Little did I know I was the target. Pushing me to hit the road so they can waste me... Oh God.. The pastor arrived shortly with a Toyota picnic. They bought yams I even helped to negotiate with the seller. We took off the same time before I stopped to excrete. Just seconds we heard gun shots and that was how they wasted this couple"Ben Dizwa, who confirmed the sad incident, identified the pastor as Mr. Joseph Tsafa, a retired police inspector who was one of the participant from NKST Nachi-Bali Classis in Taraba State.

According to his Facebook post:

"He left the event venue with his wife, Cecilia Tsafa, the woman leader (Kwase-hemen) of NKST Nachi-Bali Consistory women Fellowship, and Atese Anum (a pastor's wife) on Friday evening for Zakibiam where they stayed through the night. Early this morning,(Saturday) the couple set out for Bali LGA of Taraba State where they are based. In Katsina-Ala, they assisted two women who were heading towards their direction making their number, five in the vehicle. At about 9am on Saturday morning of 3rd December, 2016, they passed a place called Gidan Gawa along Katsina-Ala —Takum road in Taraba State. There is a portion of road that is terribly bad that vehicles must slow down to avoid accident or damage, so they also slowed down.

Strangely, some armed young men came out of the bush and ordered them to stop and they simply obeyed. The came forth and demanded for money from Mr Tsafa. What really happened that led to a gun shot could not be ascertained by even eye witness but it is thought that the man had no enough money for them having stay away for nearly two weeks which they become annoyed and shot him still on the steering.

The bullet shot at the man penetrated and also killed his wife who was seated in the front seat. The remaining three persons who were seated at the back seat were not shot, they were searched and valuables taking away from them. As I write, the corpses of the couple has been deposited at a mortuary in Zakibiam, Ukum LGA."

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala At The Vatican With Pope Francis & Fortune 500 CEOs

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala At The Vatican With Pope Francis & Fortune 500 CEOs
At the Vatican with the Holy Father Pope Francis and Fortune 500 CEOs discussing globalization and inequality @FortuneMagazine @Time.

Pointed out not only the positive impact of globalization, but also the negative impact on our continent: loss of textile jobs in Nigeria from 600,000 to 20,000 in two decades, and loss of 75,000 jobs in South Africa over a decade in textiles, footwear, and machinery.

We must look out for the losers in the globalization process and not only focus on the winners. We must look for inclusive globalization.

As the Holy Father said in his speech to us, "When we ignore the cries of so many of our brothers and sisters throughout the world, we not only deny them their God-given rights and worth, but we also reject their wisdom and prevent them from offering their talents, traditions and cultures to the world. In so doing, the poor and marginalized are made to suffer even more, and we ourselves grow impoverished, not only materially, but morally and spiritually."
